Curriculum

Being a bilingual, bicultural school, the core curriculum is presented in English with many other courses being presented in Spanish. Although the school offers a curriculum with many similarities to US schools (and is accredited in the US), all students are registered with the Mexican Secretary of Education and must meet all requirements of the national educational system.

The school maintains high academic standards at all levels and is designed for students preparing for college entry. Graduating students have a high level of competence in all subjects, but particularly in Mathematics and Science because of the inclusion of the Mexican diploma and the International Baccalaureate Program. Students are challenged in the curriculum; work hard and almost all continue their studies at colleges and universities around the world. Many enroll in advanced classes on campus to receive the International Baccalaureate Diploma which often gives them special considerations for international school enrollment.

The school places an emphasis upon social service at all grade levels which stimulates a high degree of involvement with the community. Many ecological programs exist within the school including clubs, greenhouses, and student run recycling programs and campaigns. The extensive green areas support an emphasis upon sports programs and activities, which occupy many hours of student time and interest.

The school Library/Media Center houses the largest collection of books in the English language in the area with more than 100 volumes available per student. The Spanish language collection is also formidable.
