Primary Years Programme, International Baccalaureate

 

Since 2019 JFK offers the PYP Programme in Preschool and Elementary School. With the implementation of PYP, we are moving towards an inquiry based learning system where students explore transdisciplinary themes and strive to be examples of the IB Learner Profile.

JFK is one of the few IB Continuum World Schools is Mexico.

Mission Statement from the IB
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end, the organization works with schools, governments, and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. Music

We offer a high quality music program that nurtures students’ musical intelligence. Music enables all sorts of connections between people and ideas.

Art

Our high quality art program nurtures students’ artistic and kinesthetic intelligence.

Physical Education

This program allows students to develop psychomotor skills. We believe that a healthy, sound body leads to a healthy, sound mind.

Technology

This program gives students the tools to perform in the 21st century.

Media Skills

We have a high quality Media center that allows students to develop their research and media skills. Students who know how to access information are best equipped for the demands of the 21st century.

Science Laboratory / Greenhouse

JFK is proud to offer “hands-on” scientific learning that complements the regular science curriculum. Students use the science lab and greenhouse to experience real life applications of scientific concepts. The life lab affords students the opportunity to interact with real living creatures. It includes a young zookeeper and young gardener program for interested students.
