Our program teaches fundamental values, such as justice, honesty, compassion, responsibility, respect and self-discipline. All teachers practice the Positive Discipline principles in class.

PYP

Primary Years Programme, International Baccalaureate

Since 2019 JFK offers the PYP Programme in Preschool and Elementary School. With the implementation of PYP, we are moving towards an inquiry based learning system where students explore transdisciplinary themes and strive to be examples of the IB Learner Profile.

JFK is one of the few IB Continuum World Schools is Mexico.

IB World Schools share a common philosophy —a commitment to improve the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students by delivering challenging, high quality programmes of international education that share a powerful vision.

Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme or the IB Career-related Certificate (IBCC). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.

Mission Statement from the IB

Music

We offer a high quality music program that nurtures students’ musical intelligence. Music enables all sorts of connections between people and ideas.

Art

Our high quality art program nurtures students’ artistic and kinesthetic intelligence.

Physical Education

This program allows students to develop psychomotor skills. We believe that a healthy, sound body leads to a healthy, sound mind.

Technology

This program gives students the tools to perform in the 21st century.

Media Skills

We have a high quality Media center that allows students to develop their research and media skills. Students who know how to access information are best equipped for the demands of the 21st century.

Science Laboratory / Greenhouse

JFK is proud to offer “hands-on” scientific learning that complements the regular science curriculum. Students use the science lab and greenhouse to experience real life applications of scientific concepts. The life lab affords students the opportunity to interact with real living creatures. It includes a young zookeeper and young gardener program for interested students.

Balance is our strength. Teachers, students, and parents show this by understanding intellectual, physical, and emotional balance to achieve well-being. We present children with a broad range of experiences and create opportunities to explore the world around them.

JFK Elementary students are leaders, they have a spirit of service to others and our planet, and they create beauty in all they do.

In collaboration with our Pre-School, the Elementary School offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate. The PYP will help us prepare students for the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme, as well as help them to learn through inquiry and conceptual understanding.
