Bulletin #16 | December 17th, 2019

Main Ofice

Christmas means many different things to many people, and from around the world and throughout history, mid-winter has always been a time of festivities.

Here at school we have kept many of our traditional events alive and well, and it has been a great pleasure to see so many children, staff and parents joining in the fun and festivities of this time of year.

So, in case you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, St Lucia, Kwanzaa, the Lunar New Year, Hogmanay or just enjoy a mid-winter break, I wish you all a very peaceful and happy end to 2019 in the warmth of the love and friendship of your families and friends with you.

2019 has been a wonderful year for JFK, and I really look forward to working, studying and sharing with you all during 2020!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  • Thank you! The Parents’ Association came last week to give us gifts from all the students, thank you for your generosity. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
  • Christmas Concert. This year we will be exploring holiday traditions from the different cultures of our community. Thank you to all the families that are helping teach their classmates about the traditions from their countries. Our concert will be on December 19th at 8:00 AM in the auditorium, we hope to see you all there! (Please don’t forget to bring your JFK ID.)
  • Holiday Learning. The holidays are a great time to enjoy family and friends and create traditions. Please try to spend some special one on one time with your children this holiday and not to stray too far from routines so that kids will be ready when we come back to school.

  • Christmas is the most important holiday of the year for many JFK families because of its spiritual importance. The JFK celebrates the Christmas season because the transcendental message it sends to all of us regardless of our religion…the message of peace.
  • From all of us in the Elementary School, may the blessings of the Christmas season fill your home with joy, your hearts with love, and your lives with happiness.
  • Travel safely during the vacation, or enjoy the coziness of home in Queretaro with your loved ones close to you. Happy holidays JFK!

  • We had an amazing trip on Saturday to Amealco to visit with the indigenous girls who receive scholarships from our social service projects. JFK students shared their social service projects and girls from Amealco shared with their community responsibility projects. What a great way to build empathy to learn more about what motivates all of us to make the Queretaro a better place. Thank you Miss Paola and all the JFK families special moment of service learning.
  • The Houses Holiday Trees are starting to look very nice. In addition, our Student Council has organized a Holiday Spirit Week this week: Monday, come as Santa, Tuesday, in green, and Wednesday, white as snow. Thursday will be Holiday Pajamas!
  • I wish all of you rest and relaxation over the Winter Holidays! See you in 2020!
