Traveling Art Exhibition

The JFK Traveling Art Exhibition is now up and running. We have seven displays of student artwork from all grade levels located throughout the campus as follows: HS Conference Room, MS Main Office, ES Main Office, outside SUM, PS Main Office, the Library, and in the General Director’s office. This first exhibition is “Art for Art’s Sake” and reflects appreciation for artists of all ages and stages of their artistic journey. Thanks to Chelsea and all of our Art teachers for providing this opportunity to showcase student work.

  • We had a great NJHS Service Project this weekend: Students from NJHS went to the Telesecundaria Abraham Gonzalez in Amealco to plant two pollinating gardens. The plants will attract bees, wasps, hummingbirds, bats, and other pollinators in the area. The Biology Department at the Universidad Autonoma de Queretaro, and the World Wildlife Foundation are also part of the amazing project. Way to show leadership, Middle School! Special thanks to Miss Maribel Hernández, Miss Gaby Madrid, and Miss Paola Regalado for organizing.
  • This Thursday is our first House Day! Students will represent their Houses in the following activities: Tug-of-War, Rock-Paper-Scissors, Soccer, Wacky Races, Day of the Dead Altars, House Cheers, and a Costume Contest. The schedule is posted by Mr. Stuart’s office.
  • After the long weekend, we will be ending Trimester 1 next week. Please help your child be proactive with his or her grades, all posted on PowerSchool.
  • As it gets chiller, a reminder that students must continue to wear the official blue uniform jacket during Flag Ceremony. It’s okay to wear a thicker shirt or hoodie underneath, but the blue jacket must be on top.
