This unit in Grade 1 we are investigating how communities evolve to meet their needs.
We have been exploring the different communities we belong to and how we can make an impact on those communities.
The grade 1 students have proposed a project to help make our JFK community a better place by organizing a “recess-wide” game for students to play on Fridays. They are addressing the problems of “not having friends to play with at recess” “preventing bullies” and making sure kids “get exercise and are staying healthy.”
They are exemplifying just how caring and problem solving they can be! I am so proud of their enthusiasm to make an impact on their world! :)

En esta unidad estamos investignado cómo evolucionan las comunidades para satisfacer sus necesidades.
Hemos estado explorando las diferentes conunidades a las cuales pertenecemos y cómo podemos tener un impacto en dichas comunidades.
Los estudiantes de 1° grado orpuesieron un proyecto pra ayudar a que la comunidad JFK sea un mejor lugar organizando un juego "en todo el recreo" para que los estudiantes jueguen los días viernes. Están abordando los temas de "o tener amigos con quiénes jugar en el recreo", "prevenir el bullynig", y asegurar que los niños "se ejerciten y mantengan saludables".
Están ejemplificando qué tan preocupados y atentos a la solución de probleas pueden ser. ¡Estoy muy orgullosa de su entusiasmo para tener impacto en su mundo!
