Last week we had Middle School’s Ecological Inventions contest, in which the students created something in which they use the 5R’s to help the environment, reduce our ecological footprint, and win points for their house!
- Refuse: minimize waste products by refusing materials
- Reduce: harmful, wasteful, and non-recyclable materials
- Reuse: using something again
- Repurpose: taking items that were meant for one purpose but can be used for others
- Recycle: convert waste into reusable material

La semana pasada en Middle School tuvimos el concurso de Inventos Ecológicos, en donde los alumnos crearon algo usando una de las 5R’s para ayudar al medio ambiente, reducir nuestra huella ecológica, y a parte ganar puntos para sus casas.
- Reusar: minimizar los productos de desecho rehusando materiales
- Reducir: materiales nocivos, dañinos y no reciclables
- Reutilizar: algo otra vez
- Reciclar: convertir basura en material reutilizable
