One characteristic of Service Learning is to provide students the opportunity to participate in activities (chosen by themselves) that positively influence the lives of people and the environment.
This is what is happening with the 8th grade students, who through their humanities class are developing different Service Learning projects that will undoubtedly have a positive impact in our community.
An example is the talk “First Aid and Emergency Preparedness” offered by Sofía Nava and Serena Obuchi to 6th grade students, whose purpose is to teach students how to act in an emergency or in a situation that requires first aid.

Una de las características del Service Learning es brindar a los alumnos la oportunidad de participar en actividades (elegidas por ellos mismos), que influyan positivamente en la vida de las personas y el medio ambiente.
Esto es lo que está sucediendo con los alumnos de 8° grado, quienes a través de su clase de Humanidades están desarrollando diferentes proyectos que, sin duda, impactarán de manera positiva en nuestra comunidad.
Un ejemplo es la plática “First Aid and Emergency Preparedness” ofrecida por Sofía Nava y Serena Obuchi a los alumnos de 6°A, cuyo propósito es enseñar a los alumnos cómo actuar en caso de emergencia o ante una situación que requiere primeros auxilios.
