National Honor Society
National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes four virtues: scholarship, leadership, character, and service.
The students who are elected for having a high standard in those four values have the mission to fight hunger through different service projects in JFK.
On Tuesday November 15th, the induction ceremony took place, in where each student heard in a particular manner the emotive words from the teacher they chose as a godfather or godmother. It was lovely to be able to share all of these amazing characteristics of the distinguished group with teachers, students, and family members. Congratulations!
The students that were elected this year are: Arantza Prieto Nieto, Ana Paula Ortega Servín, Paloma Carmen Fernández Castillo, Michelle Escartín Mora, Leslie Escartín Mora, Su Bin Park Kim, Julieta Goded Ferrari, Julián Tagle Ochoa, Paulina Quiroga Huerta, María Casas Soto, Fernanda Zapata Martínez, Rodrigo Zapatero Gutiérrez, Tamara Rey Ruiz de Esparza, Jennifer Schietekat Torres, Jongseong Im, Sebastián Cámara Camacho, Su Yeon Lim, Paola Vázquez Reyes, Maro Sebastián Castro Díaz, Renata Viramontes Andrade.
Additionally, the executive committee of NHS was officially named. This consists of: Hye Min Kim (president of NHS), Ximena López (vice president of NHS), Arsheli Guerrero (treasurer of NHS), and Daniela Sowicz (secretary of NHS).
We feel extremely proud of all of them!

National Honor Society es una organización que reconoce cuatro virtudes: excelencia académica, liderazgo, carácter y servicio.
Los alumnos que son elegidos por tener un alto estándar en los cuatro valores, tienen la misión de combatir el hambre a través de diferentes proyectos de servicio en JFK.
El martes 15 de noviembre, se llevó a cabo la ceremonia de inducción, en donde cada alumno escuchó de manera particular las emotivas palabras del maestro o maestra que eligieron como padrino. Fue muy agradable compartir con maestros, alumnos y padres de familia, todas las maravillosas características de este distinguido grupo. ¡Muchas felicidades!
