At the LMC, we have organized a special Express Course for HS Teachers that is taking place during this month (November) in order to provide them with information and support in how to find, access and use the school’s Digital Platforms.
The Internet is the means to which we resort more and more to search for references to develop academic work, because it collects a vast amount of information; however, we must review whether the academic information in it is reliable and relevant. Considering this, the importance of using professional digital platforms is vital both so that the information is permanently updated and reliable, and so that it allows us to consult, download and share documents such as books, articles, scientific journals, newspapers, eBooks, amongst others.
As a teacher you are a vital piece of the puzzle in tackling matters of Research in your class. You have a unique role to play in guiding and supporting your students through International Baccalaureate projects such as the Personal Project and the Extended Essay or any other, and there are lots of positive steps you can take to help your students use the school’s digital platforms in supporting their research with quality and safe resources.

Curso Exprés para Profesores de HS
En el LMC (Library Media Center) organizamos el Curso Exprés especial para Profesores de HS que se llevará a cabo durante el mes de noviembre, con el fin de brindarles información y apoyo a nuestros maestros sobre cómo encontrar las Plataformas Digitales de la escuela, cómo acceder a ellas y cómo usarlas.
El Internet es el medio al que recurrimos cada vez más para buscar referencias para desarrollar trabajos académicos, porque acopia una vasta información; sin embargo, debemos revisar si la información académica que hay en él es confiable y pertinente. Con base en esto la importancia de usar plataformas digitales profesionales es vital tanto para que la información esté permanentemente actualizada y sea confiable, como para que nos permita la consulta, descarga y compartida de documentos como: libros, artículos, revistas científicas, periódicos, ebooks, entre otros.
Cada uno de nuestros profesores es una pieza vital del rompecabezas para abordar los asuntos de investigación en su propia clase, y tiene un papel único que desempeñar al guiar y apoyar a sus alumnos a través de proyectos del International Baccalaureate, como el Proyecto Personal y la Monografía, o para otros de otra índole y hay muchos pasos positivos que puede tomar para ayudar a sus alumnos a usar las plataformas digitales de la escuela para respaldar su investigación con recursos de calidad y seguros.
