National Honor Society

It is a prestigious national organization. Membership is open to those students in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grades, and who meet the required standards, which are established by the national office of NHS, in four areas of evaluation: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Students are selected by a five-member Faculty Council, appointed by the principal.
For the scholarship criterion, a student must have a cumulative average of 90% in their academic subjects, and be screened by the JFK NHS advisor.

The NHS focuses on social service projects such as supporting the local foodbank of Queretaro.

Model UN

The John F. Kennedy School, the American School of Querétaro proudly hosts a Model UN event called Union & Peace in the Fall. The student members of the Model UN do all the preparation and organizing of the event while supervised by teachers.  Model UN students practice parliamentary procedure and leadership skills while learning about the distinct perspectives behind current world problems.

Student Council

Student Council members are chosen by their peers to represent their voice in High School. They are active in organizing student events and activities as well as bringing proposals for improvement in their section. They have the opportunity to exercise leadership, organization and teamwork skills.

Students comment on their sense of preparedness, self-confidence, research skills and their ability to manage their time. They have developed a sense of the world around them and their responsibility
to it.
